In a privileged position in the historic center of Montalto Ligure, this exclusive village house is a true gem for lovers of sophisticated living. Restoration began in 2006 and finished in November 2007. The building was stripped to its natural stone masonry; most roof beams were replaced with chestnut wood. Roofs were rebuilt, insulated, and re-covered with original slate tiles. Exterior walls were mainly plastered with Calcinto, a natural mortar. Custom-made German windows and doors were installed, all with high thermal insulation. All systems were newly designed and installed: electrical, media, fresh water, wastewater, and gas. A central Ökofen pellet system powers underfloor and wall heating, The house has a central satellite system with TV reception in every room and strong wireless internet throughout.
